The Chesapeake Orchestra will have its inaugural broadcast from The USA starting on June 26, 2020, at 7 pm. and will continue through July 31. We are developing programs, assembling musicians, and ironing-out the shooting schedules right now.
The Alba broadcasts which started on May 21 and continue through May 31 are at 3 pm and 8 pm USA (EST) and are available both at albamusicfestival.com and chesapeakeorchestra.org Programs from Italy will also be archived so you won't have missed a thing. The Alba Music Festival performances are coming from all over the world and include a large presence of our own Chesapeake Orchestra musicians. Our concerts will have our signature variety of programming. The Chesapeake Orchestra will also feature some contributions from our music friends abroad. Additionally, the new online arts channel will have space for artist interviews, "ArtsTalk," and increased opportunities for our Sponsors and advertisers. These online concerts will be linked through the Chesapeake Orchestra, Alba Music Festival, St. Mary's County Arts Council, and St. Mary's College of Maryland websites, creating an initial viewing audience in the tens of thousands. We are very excited about this evolution in our arts programming. A full schedule of concerts and broadcasts dates is coming by early June. As we move deeper into the summer and early Fall, The Chesapeake Orchestra still has outstanding invitations for live performances. We will address those opportunities as we are able to process the best advice regarding the pandemic. Jeffrey Silberschlag.
